A High-Achieving Legal Manager Meets Conflicting Workplace Dynamics

In the series, Park steps into the role of Kang Yi-ji, a sharp and highly analytical senior manager stationed on the legal team of Chronic Motors. Yi-ji has successfully established herself in an overwhelmingly male corporate landscape by adopting a strictly rational approach to life, dismissing romantic connections and marriage as minor, fleeting hormonal impulses. While she originally harbored ambitions of studying astronomy, she ultimately took up a legal career following pressure from her mother.

Her well-regulated corporate environment is disrupted by the simultaneous arrival of two distinct colleagues. Yook, widely recognized as a member of K-pop group BtoB, portrays Han Sun-woo, an intern on the legal team who relies on gut instincts rather than cold analysis and harbors a secret passion for jewelry design. Sun-woo's dynamic with Yi-ji shifts when he unexpectedly puts himself on the line to shield her from danger, challenging her established perspective on him.

Corporate Ambition Clashes With Executive Philosophy

At the executive level, Go portrays Park Hyun-tae, a high-ranking executive director stationed in Chronic Motors' Seoul office. Having risen quickly through the corporate ladder at the automaker's European base, Hyun-tae operates under the belief that romantic attachments simply derail a successful career. However, Yi-ji's sharp intellect and undeniable skill on the job begin to test his disciplined worldview.

The narrative places Yi-ji at the center of contrasting worldviews, navigating between an intuitive younger subordinate and a senior executive who shares her level of career focus. As these professional and personal boundaries blur, Yi-ji is forced to determine whether romantic vulnerability can fit alongside the career she has systematically built.
