Media Capital Technologies CEO Raj Singh has teamed up with Italian alternative finance group RP1 Holding to establish the One Media Capital Fund, an initiative capitalized at €100 million (approximately $112 million) to support audiovisual production and film distribution across Italy. The new vehicle was formally presented during the European Investment Hub at the Rome MIA Market, an industry platform focused on helping European producers access alternative financing, soft money options, and equity structures.

Designed to serve both domestic and international production companies that film within Italy, the One Media Capital Fund aims to provide critical cash flow during development and active shooting stages, while also helping local distribution firms manage the cash requirements of their investments. Organizers intend the vehicle to offer customized financial structures that complement Italy's established banking credit channels rather than replacing them.
Tackling Liquidity Bottlenecks in Italian Screen Production
Italy's audiovisual industry represents a substantial financial market, with annual content production exceeding €2.24 billion (around $2.5 billion), according to data from Italy’s TV producers’ association APA. Despite the market size, independent film and television creators frequently encounter funding hurdles tied to the timing of official subsidies.
While Italy offers national tax credits and regional incentives, these soft money resources are typically disbursed on a deferred timeline. The resulting delays frequently produce significant cash flow shortages for production teams during active stages of development and shooting. Fund leaders noted in a statement that this structural imbalance restricts company scale and diminishes international competitiveness across the independent sector.
Leadership and Track Record Behind the New Vehicle
RP1 Holding is directed by Mauro Martani, a former chief financial officer of Wildside. Over recent years, the firm has participated in financing and supporting high-profile international and local screen projects filmed on location in Italy, including feature films such as Conclave, House of Gucci, and The Equalizer 3, as well as television series such as Emily in Paris.
Martani emphasized that the partnership with MCT Credit Solutions seeks to align traditional capital markets with the practical operational cycles of independent filmmakers. In a public statement, Martani explained that production outfits need specialized capital solutions that reflect the actual rhythm of content creation rather than generic debt instruments.
Expanding Capital Access for Independent Creators
Singh highlighted that Italy remains an appealing hub for media investment thanks to experienced local crews, strong production infrastructure, and expanding opportunities for worldwide project distribution. The fund's objective is to deploy structured financing that reduces the administrative friction of waiting for regional rebates and tax relief.
By establishing a predictable flow of production-phase capital, the initiative is structured to allow independent producers to proceed with physical production schedules without suspending operations while waiting for state or regional incentives to clear administrative processing.
As the European Investment Hub continues to highlight creative funding mechanisms for independent cinema, the One Media Capital Fund begins operations targeting both Italian entities and international crews planning upcoming shoots within the country.
