The Love Is Blind season 11 finale landed on Netflix on Wednesday, November 4. Six couples went into the pods in Boston. Only one came out married.
And by the time fans watched the wedding, the marriage was already over.
USA Today reported on November 4 that Sarah Williams had filed for divorce from John Shannon on June 4, 2026. Court papers obtained by the paper show the two married on March 27, 2025, and split on April 15, 2026, a little over a year after they said "I do" on the show. A pretrial conference is set for April 26, 2027.
TMZ first reported the split, saying the couple had "pulled the plug" on the marriage. Neither Sarah nor John has spoken about it in public so far. The news broke the same day the finale went live, and it turned the season's one happy ending upside down.
Who got married — and who didn't
Four couples made it to their wedding days. Only Sarah and John both said yes. Here is how the rest of the season ended.
| Couple | What happened |
|---|---|
| Sarah Williams and John Shannon | Married — then filed for divorce, per court papers |
| Aneha Singh and Cam Halloran | Reached the altar; Aneha said "I don't" |
| Erika Ellis and Blake Carver | Split before the wedding; left the experiment |
| Wilnie Louis and Wilson Monteiro | Split after the bachelor and bachelorette parties |
| Michaella Giorgio and Rob Feeley | Split just before the finale |
| Jacqueline "Jax" Guelli and Scott "Stew" Stewart | Split early in the season |
Sarah and John were the surprise couple of the season. They clashed over politics in the pods and looked like the least likely pair to last. In the end they were the only two to walk down the aisle, with John calling Sarah "beautiful, brilliant, thoughtful, and kind" at the altar.
Aneha and Cam came close. They made it to their wedding day, but Aneha said she needed more time before marrying him. She told him they were still engaged. Cam said he wasn't sure they could get there if it wasn't a yes at the altar. Where they stand now is one of the big questions for the reunion.
What the reunion trailer hints at
The reunion streams on Netflix on Sunday, November 8, at 9 p.m. ET. A teaser for it shows host Nick Lachey asking John a blunt question: "Did you cheat on your wife?" The clip then shows Sarah in tears, with the other women hugging her.
Nothing about that exchange has been confirmed outside the teaser. Fans will have to wait until Sunday to hear John's answer and to learn whether Sarah and Aneha's stories have moved on since filming.
It was a big week for TV in other ways too. Good American Family made casting news for its second season, and The Gilded Age kept viewers talking with its surprise cameos. But no show this week had a twist quite like this one: a wedding viewers had just watched, undone by papers filed months ago.
