Brad Pitt is back as Cliff Booth. Netflix dropped the second trailer for The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth on Friday, November 6, 2026. It is the clearest look yet at David Fincher's follow-up to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
The film is set in 1977, eight years after the first film. Cliff is no longer just a stuntman. He works as a Hollywood fixer now, the man stars call when trouble needs to go away quietly.
What the new trailer shows
The trailer opens with Cliff taking a job from talent agent Karen Crosby, played by Elizabeth Debicki. Her client is TV star Charlie Peters, played by Scott Caan. Looking after him pulls Cliff into blackmail, extortion and organised crime. It is a darker, seedier Hollywood than the one in the first film. The new cut is a red-band trailer, so it is aimed at adult viewers. It closes with a plain tagline: Thanksgiving, only in IMAX.
Who is in the cast?
| Actor | Role |
|---|---|
| Brad Pitt | Cliff Booth |
| Elizabeth Debicki | Karen Crosby |
| Scott Caan | Charlie Peters |
| Carla Gugino | Charlie Peters' wife |
| Yahya Abdul-Mateen II | Former football star turned actor |
| Peter Weller | Role not yet named |
| Timothy Olyphant | Role not yet named |
Tarantino wrote the script. It grew out of the script for the tenth film he once planned to direct himself. Pitt talked him into letting Fincher take it on instead. It is Pitt's fourth film with Fincher, after Seven, Fight Club and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross wrote the score. It is their sixth film in a row with Fincher.
When can you watch it?
The film opens only in IMAX on November 25, the day before Thanksgiving. It plays there for two weeks. Tickets went on sale on November 2. It then arrives on Netflix on December 23, just in time for Christmas. The second trailer played first in front of the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood IMAX re-release last weekend. It went online today.
It has been a busy stretch for trailers. Godzilla Minus Zero got its final trailer this week, and Pedro Pascal's Behemoth trailer is also out now. But Cliff Booth is the one people will argue about. Three of the biggest names in film, one character, and a Thanksgiving release. The trailer did its job.
