The artificial intelligence production infrastructure behind the Indian television series "Mahabharat: Ek Dharmayudh" is branching into Southeast Asia through a new cross-border intellectual property partnership. Tech company Galleri5 and Historyverse, an original IP and production unit of Collective Artists Network, are joining forces with Indonesia's Singhasari Special Economic Zone to create films and series inspired by Indonesian mythology, folklore, and historical narratives.

Under the arrangement, creative teams and cultural experts from Indonesia will collaborate directly with Historyverse's IP packaging unit while utilizing the proprietary production systems developed by Galleri5 in India. The enterprise intends to tackle a variety of entertainment genres, spanning animation, fantasy, mythology, and historical epics.

Developing 'Echoes of Nusantara' and Global Distribution
The inaugural venture currently under discussion among the partners is an original mythology-adventure titled "Echoes of Nusantara." Historyverse is designated to lead creative development, physical production management, and IP packaging for the property, working alongside Indonesian artists to prepare projects for international financing, production, and worldwide distribution.
Vijay Subramaniam, founder and group CEO of Collective Artists Network, emphasized the initiative's focus on non-traditional production hubs. He stated that future global entertainment franchises will not solely originate from Hollywood, citing Indonesia's rich heritage of storytelling. Subramaniam noted that the partnership with local creatives aims to transform these narratives into major screen properties while deploying Galleri5's technology to scale production without compromising the artistic vision.
AI Technology Pipeline and Theatrical Expansion
Central to the technical pipeline is Galleri5's primary platform, G5 AI Studio, which integrates more than 200 artificial intelligence models into dedicated production systems for storyboarding, character and environment design, visual effects, animation, and video rendering. To date, the platform has generated over 10,000 advertisements and video assets.
Galleri5 previously established and operated the filmmaking technology for JioStar and Collective Media Network's "Mahabharat: Ek Dharmayudh," broadcast on Star Plus and JioHotstar. The company is actively adapting these production methods for Historyverse's forthcoming theatrical projects, including "Chiranjeevi Hanuman – The Eternal" and "Krishna," using the features to stress-test workflows against commercial production demands.
Rahul Regulapati, founder and CEO of Galleri5, pointed out that the studio's tools bridge cutting-edge AI models with practical cinema demands. He remarked that after proving its capabilities across Indian television and film, the company seeks to bring locally rooted regional stories to an international viewership by combining Indonesia's talent base with Collective's studio infrastructure.
Economic and Cultural Collaboration in Indonesia
Indonesian government and trade officials view the initiative as a step toward technological participation rather than mere software consumption. Airlangga Hartarto, coordinating minister for economic affairs and chairman of the National Council for Special Economic Zones, indicated that the country intends to actively help guide AI advancements to create high-skilled employment and generate economic expansion.
Singhasari Special Economic Zone will facilitate connections between the venture and domestic animation studios, creative institutions, investors, and distribution networks. KRAT David Santoso KR, chief executive officer of Lokanima and the Singhasari Special Economic Zone, referenced the ancient Singhasari Kingdom's historical cultural exchange with India, noting that the agreement revitalizes those historical ties through modern digital content development.
Sandeep Chakravorty, India's ambassador to Indonesia, similarly observed that classic epics such as the Ramayana and Mahabharata have been woven into Indonesian temple art and traditional wayang shadow puppetry for centuries. He highlighted that the collaborative cross-border initiative represents a contemporary evolution of that shared cultural history through modern filmmaking technology.
