Kriti Sanon and Pankaj Tripathi's film Mimi was to release on July 30 but the film has been streamed on Netflix and Jio Cinema before the scheduled date. It is being said that the film was leaked online, so the makers have released it four days ago. Mimi is the story of a surrogate mother. The film is a Hindi remake of the 2010 Marathi film 'Mala Aai Vhhaychy'. The film was to be released in theaters in 2020 but due to COVID-19, the release of Mimi was postponed and finally it has been released on OTT instead of cinemas.

This funny film on surrogacy has been directed by Laxman Utekar. He has written the story and screen play of the film in collaboration with Rohan Shankar. At the same time, the dialogues written by Rohan are good. The film is produced by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan

Akash Agarwal's cinematography is good. He has captured a small town in Rajasthan in the best way. On the technical side, Mimi's cinematography as well as the on-screen scenes have been well researched, the plot looks mostly real and the audience doesn't take much time to connect with the story. Special attention has been given to. 

Story: Mimi Rathore (Kriti Sanon) is a dancer in a small town in Rajasthan. Her dream is to become a heroine in Bollywood. She somehow wants to go to Mumbai by arranging Rs 5 lakh. Meanwhile, tourist driver Bhanupratap Pandey (Pankaj Tripathi) makes an offer to her. An American couple wants a child through surrogacy. Mimi agrees to become a surrogate mother in exchange for Rs 20 lakh. 

Mimi lies to her family that she has got a job in films and then pregnant Mimi goes to live with her friend Shama (Sai Tamhankar). In the meantime, the child was born to Mimi is examined, it's found that he has Down syndrome disease. American couple goes back by asking pregnant Mimi for an abortion. Now the whole city gets to know that Mimi is about to become a mother. At the same time, Mimi decides that she will give birth to a child. When her parents start crying a lot, she tells the child's father is Bhanu. 

Meanwhile, Mimi becomes a mother and the baby is born perfectly healthy and fair. There are more stories than this. Meanwhile Bhanu's real wife also comes and Mimi has to tell the truth about how she became a mother. Mimi, who dances folk dance in Rajasthan hotels upload the video Facebook with his son, After seeing  the  video American couple comes back to Rajasthan. The child whom they had asked to be killed in the womb, now they want that child back? American couple threatens to go to court to have child? Will Mimi give back to her son?

Songs: Known for his sensitive voice and songs, R Rahman has again tried to create magic in this film, we often see that if the songs of the film are excellent then that film is remembered for days. . The hard work of the film composer and the songs sung by the singer have touched hearts. There are no love-love and romantic songs in the film but you will not miss it.

Acting of Artists: If Pankaj Tripathi is in any film, then he attracts the attention of the audience. Her acting is also excellent in Mimi but even Kriti Sanon has not weakened compared to her. 

Kriti Sanon has gained 15 kg to play the role of a pregnant woman and the hard work she has put in the role of Mimi is clearly visible. 

Supriya Pathak as Shobha Rathore, Mimi's mother and Manoj Pahwa as Mansingh Rathore, Mimi's father have also done a great job in the role of Mimi's parents.
