Apple Original Films has unveiled the official trailer for Way of the Warrior Kid, a family drama starring Chris Pratt as a Navy SEAL uncle who changes his nephew’s life over one summer. The film premieres globally on Apple TV on Wednesday, November 25, 2026, just ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Pratt plays Jake, a decorated Navy SEAL recovering from an injury, who comes to spend the summer with his sister Sarah (Linda Cardellini) and her son Marc (Jude Hill). Marc is a middle schooler struggling on every front — bullied at school, behind in his classes, and finding it hard to make friends. Under his uncle’s guidance, the summer becomes a course in discipline, confidence and what real courage looks like.

The film is directed by McG (Charlie’s Angels, Terminator Salvation) from a screenplay by Will Staples, and is based on the bestselling novel by former Navy SEAL Jocko Willink, who also appears in the film. Alongside Pratt, Cardellini and Hill, the cast includes Ava Torres, Levi McConaughey, Darien Sills-Evans, Carl McDowell and Parker Young.

Way of the Warrior Kid joins a busy Apple TV slate, including the Stephen Graham thriller covered in our Nocturne release date and cast guide — and Graham’s career is profiled in our Stephen Graham biography.
