St. Denis Medical returns tonight, Monday, 2 November 2026, with the premiere of its third season on NBC. The mockumentary medical comedy, created by Justin Spitzer and Eric Ledgin, will air at 8 p.m. ET, with the season opener followed by the return of the sitcom Reggie Dinkins at 8:30 p.m. ET.
Season 3 picks up at St. Denis Medical in Portland, Oregon, where the staff of the underfunded, understaffed hospital continue to juggle patient care, hospital politics and their own tangled personal lives. The season premiere, titled "He Ain't Noah Wyle", sets up a new chapter for the team after the events of the second season, which ended with a cliffhanger for several of the show's central characters.
Tonight's episode, "He Ain't Noah Wyle", is the first episode of the third season. It introduces a new dynamic at the hospital, with the arrival of a new doctor shaking up the established order. The episode also features a guest appearance by Damon Wayans, who joins the cast for a special role in the season opener.
In season 3, the main cast returns, including Wendi McLendon-Covey as Joyce, the hospital's executive director, David Alan Grier as Dr Ron, Allison Tolman as Dr Alex, Josh Lawson as Dr Bruce, Mekki Leeper as Matt, Kahyun Kim as Serena, and Kaliko Kauahi as Val. The show's ensemble cast has been praised for its chemistry, and season 3 is expected to build on the show's growing popularity.
