Star-Driven Originals Arrive on Netflix, Prime Video, and Apple TV

Netflix's October schedule features "Animals" on Oct. 9, directed by, co-written by, and starring Ben Affleck alongside Kerry Washington and Gillian Anderson. Romance and action thrillers also populate mid-month rosters: Romain Gavras' English-language debut "Sacrifice," starring Chris Evans and Anya Taylor-Joy, premieres Oct. 16 on Netflix, while Amazon MGM presents Stanley Tucci's heist comedy "Masterplan" on Prime Video the same day.

Dramatic releases expand further with Apple Original Films' true-life mountain expedition feature "Tenzing" on Oct. 16, helmed by Jennifer Peedom and starring Genden Phuntsok, Tom Hiddleston, and Willem Dafoe. Prime Video also introduces Rachel Morrison's drama "Love of Your Life," starring Margaret Qualley, on Oct. 14 following its fall film festival debut.

With major studios balancing shorter theatrical-to-streaming windows, platforms will test audience demand across high-budget spectacles, original dramas, and genre releases throughout the final quarter of the year.
