Deli Boys: Pilot
In the first scene of Deli Boys Season 1, Episode 1, a guy wearing only white underwear and a brown shopping bag over his head runs out of a store. He quickly crosses a busy street and disappears. Shortly after, two other men run out of the store looking for him frantically. The story then goes back to three days earlier. We meet Baba Dar, an American Pakistani who has faced many challenges but successfully built a deli business. Right now, Baba Dar is busy filming a commercial for his new project, which plans to include golf courses in his growing business.
Meanwhile, Baba Dar's ambitious son, Mir Dar, is practicing his presentation to convince his father that he should be the next CEO. His wife encourages him, and he thinks his presentation is nearly perfect. However, he's still nervous, so he goes to the gym to practice more while working out. On the other hand, his brother Raj wakes up tired from partying and doesn't care about responsibilities. Despite being relaxed, Raj seems to have a better relationship with their father.
The brothers meet their father at the golf course, where he excitedly shares more about his ambitious new project. He believes this venture will take their business to new heights. Unfortunately, while he is explaining, a stray golf ball hits him, causing his sudden and unexpected death.
After their father's funeral, Raj and Mir agree that one of them needs to take over the company. Raj supports Mir to become the CEO. But just as they interrupt an important board meeting to announce their plans, something unexpected happens—FBI agents rush in. In the chaos, their aunt Lucky announces herself as the temporary CEO, but she is quickly arrested and taken away in handcuffs.
The brothers are shocked to learn that Darco has been involved in government fraud for the past 20 years. Their father's powerful connections had kept the FBI away, but after his sudden death, everything is falling apart. Before they can fully process the shocking news, Mir gets a worrying call from his girlfriend. The FBI is raiding their home because their apartment is listed as one of Darco's assets. Mir rushes back, but his girlfriend firmly tells him to get his life together or she will leave him. She suggests they look into any backup plans their father might have had.
Raj teases Mir for losing his valuable things but soon gets a similar call from his own relaxed hideout. They both rush to the scene, but Raj stays calm, possibly starting to get high. Mir, annoyed by his brother's carefree attitude, walks away angrily after a heated argument. Determined to save what he can, Mir goes back to the office and finds their father's first deli store, which isn't part of Darco's properties. Coincidentally, Raj also finds the same deli store, and the two brothers unexpectedly meet outside the store.
When the brothers enter, they tell the workers about their father's death, and the workers start to leave quietly. One worker stays a bit too long, and suddenly, Lucky shows up. Without warning, she pulls out a gun and shoots the man right in front of the shocked brothers.
The brothers are shocked by what just happened, but Lucky gives them a bundle of cash and tells them to leave. Raj and Mir refuse to go and demand to know what’s going on. Lucky then reveals a shocking truth: their father had been involved in illegal activities for years. The biggest surprise is that he had secretly been a drug dealer. Lucky reassures them that, as far as she knows, the FBI doesn't know about their secret drug operations.
The brothers decide to stay and help Lucky by putting the body in a bag, trusting her promise to take care of it the next morning. To their surprise, the man who seemed dead wakes up at dawn and quickly escapes. The FBI agents arrive shortly after, unaware of the recent chaos, and wrongly think that everything is under control.
