What is the ending of "Alice in Borderland" Season 2 like?

In the final showdown against the King of Spades, all of Arisu's crew - Kuina, Ann, Heiya, Usagi, and Aguni - are left severely injured and unable to participate in the last game. However, Arisu takes Usagi to play in the final game, the Queen of Hearts, against the Game Master Mira, who was seen at the end of Season 1 in the abandoned control room. The game is supposed to be a simple game of croquet, but Mira spends most of the game manipulating the players. She tries to convince Arisu that this world is just an illusion, but Usagi cuts herself to prove that the Borderlands are real. After realizing their feelings for each other, Arisu breaks free from Mira's hypnotic influence just in time to win the game.

Although Mira does win the game of croquet, it ultimately does not matter because Arisu wins the overall game by not forfeiting or quitting. This means that all the Face Cards have been defeated. Mira is assassinated by a creepy sky laser and the players are given the choice to either stay in this world or return to their own. With the exception of the psychopathic Banda and his friend Yaba, the remaining players decide to go back. They all wake up in a hospital to find out that a meteor destroyed a large portion of Tokyo. Those who were not already dead were sent to the Borderlands, a purgatory of sorts. The players do not remember spending time together in the Borderlands, but Arisu and Usagi, who were strangers before, run into each other at the hospital vending machine and seem to have a potential future together. The camera shows a table full of playing cards, all of which blow away except for the Joker.

What is the significance of the Joker card in "Alice in Borderland"?

While readers of the manga books by Haro Aso might recognize the Joker as a character in the series, it is unclear what the Joker card represents in the universe of "Alice in Borderland" the TV show. Will Joker appear in a future season, if there is one? Is the Joker card just a symbol to remind us to not take life too seriously? Regardless, we hope that Arisu is able to avoid any further challenges - he has already been through enough.

Which characters die in "Alice in Borderland" Season 2?

Season 2 is even more deadly and violent than the first season. Tatta sacrifices his arm and bleeds to death to allow Arisu to win the King of Clubs, leading to the deaths of Kyuma and his bandmates. Matsushita is likely killed by Yaba and Banda at the end of the Jack of Hearts game. Kuzuryu dies when acid is poured on him during the King of Diamonds game. The King of Spades is killed by Arisu and Aguni. Mira is killed by the game after Arisu wins the Queen of Hearts.
