Aditya Dhar, director of the film, says that casting Vicky as the only hero in the film was a risk and he dealt with the film by giving a suitable budget.
Dhar said, "Casting Vicky kaushal as the only hero was a risk in itself. We made a film according to the budget which is appropriate for the film with Vicky's main role."
The director said, "This (film) was a mission where every member of the team gave his best and after that, he made some other efforts. For example, actor Paresh Rawal, who played the character of Govind Bhardwa, But they followed it and spent two weeks in gurus, the facilities and freedom given by our producer Ronnie Screwvala were beyond all those things, I could imagine. "
