Paige started wrestling at the age of 13, making her debut in 2005 under the name Britani Knight for her family’s promotion, World Association of Wrestling (WAW). She won several championships on the European independent circuit, including the WAWW British Championship, the RQW Women’s Championship, the HEW Women’s Championship, and the PWF Ladies Tag Team Championship. She also competed in countries like France, Norway, Germany, Belgium, Turkey, Denmark, and the United States.
In 2011, Paige was signed by WWE and began training in its developmental system, Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW).
